Hunger Doesn't Take a (Summer) Vacation

Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry has announced plans to reprise its popular “Hunger Doesn’t Take a Vacation” event this coming August. Together with Families First Community Center and Healthy Acadia, Loaves & Fishes will be offering food bags to families in need during open hours the week of August 7 at their location at 137 Downeast Highway (Route 1 - N) in Ellsworth. We hope to distribute up to 250 food bags containing hot dogs, hamburgers, rolls, corn on the cob, chips, condiments and perhaps the makings for S’mores.
